Buz hokeyinde “sıcak” antrenman

Hristiyan Atletler Kulübü, Erzurum'daki buz hokeyi sporcularının, ABD'deki sporcularla kaynaşmasını sağlamak amacıyla proje başlattı.

Hristiyan Atletler Kulübü tarafından hazırlanan, “Dinler ve Kültürlerarası Kaynaşma” projesi kapsamında ABD'den Erzurum'a gelen 2'si antrenör, biri profesyonel buz hokeyi oyuncusu olmak üzere 3 kişilik ekip, 500'lük Buz Hokey Salonu'nda, Erzurumlu sporcularla antrenmanlara başladı.

Antrenörlerden Rick Randazzo, gazetecilere yaptığı açıklamada, iki din ve iki kültür arasındaki dostluğu, kardeşliği pekiştirmeyi amaçladıklarını belirterek, antrenmanlarda, sporcuların becerilerini arttırmaya yönelik çalışmalar yapacaklarını söyledi.

Türkiye'deki genç buz hokeycilerle çalışarak, tecrübe kazandırmak istediklerini anlatan Randazzo, şunları kaydetti: “Biz buraya senede bir kaç kez gelmek ve gerekirse buradaki çocukları ABD'ye götürüp hem iki din, hem de iki kültür arasında kaynaşmayı sağlamayı hedefliyoruz. Kendi kulüplerimizde olan sporcularla, iki tarafı birbirine hem dost, hem de kardeş yapmak istiyoruz. Küçük bir gurup olduğumuz için sadece Türkiye'de bu çalışmayı yürütüyoruz. Türkiye'deki genç buz hokeycilerle çalışarak, onların tecrübe kazanmasını sağlamalarını amaçlıyoruz. Erzurum'da görev yapan, ABD'li buz hokeyi antrenörü Mc. Adams Keith sayesinde buraya geldik. Buradaki dostluğu, ABD'ye taşımak en büyük hedefimiz.”

Randazzo, iki din ve kültür arasında kaynaşmayı sağlamak için gelecek yıllarda, Türkiye'deki buz hokeyi sporcularına malzeme yardımı yapmanın yanı sıra, ABD'deki ünlü buz hokeyi oyuncularını da Türkiye'ye getirmeyi planladıklarını ifade etti.

ABD Tulsa Oliers Kulübü'nün oyuncularından Gary Steffes de Türkiye'deki gençlerin yetenekli ve buz hokeyi öğrenmeye çok istekli olduklarını kaydetti.

“Dinler ve Kültürler Arası Kaynaşma” projesi kapsamında düzenlenen antrenmanlar 4 gün sürecek.
