Brian Dunford Leading the Way in Erzurum Turkey

                                            2011-12 Season Leading Club to Semi Finals

Brian Dunford is assistant coach for the Turkish U20 and U18 National Team. Brian’s responsibility included working with the defense and physical fitness. Brian before coached fifteen of the U20 National Team players in 2012. To Brian credit; these players won 6 national Championships, 3 international tournaments, U17 Turkish Cup and U18 World Championship in 2015. He returned this year to Erzurum to play for Erzurum BB. He is captain of club and directs the fitness program for Super League and U18 Club. “Brian has had a positive affect on the development of every player in Erzurum,” said Keith McAdams Head Coach. “Brian brings to club a sense of professionalism that is essential to the develop of hockey in Turkey. His fitness program will play dividends for us for years to come.”

Buz hokeyinde Erzurum’un tırmanışı devam ediyor. Türkiye Buz Hokeyi Federasyonu faaliyet programında yer alan Minikler ve Yıldızlar Buz Hokeyi şampiyonası Kocaeli’nde yapıldı. Erzurum yıldızlarda şampiyon oldu.

Türkiye Buz Hokeyi Federasyonu faaliyet programında yer alan Kulüplerarası Minikler ve Yıldızlar  Türkiye Buz Hokeyi Şampiyonası Kocaeli’nde yapıldı. Erzurum Gençlikspor Minik Erkek Buz Hokeyi takımı ikinci olarak gümüş kupa kazanırken, altın kupa yıldızlarda Erzurum’un oldu. Antrenörler Mc. Adams Keiht, İkram Çintimar ve Ömer Kantar yönetiminde Kocaeli’ne giden Erzurum Gençlikspor Yıldız Erkekler Buz Hokeyi takımı tüm rakiplerini geride bırakarak Türkiye şampiyonu oldu. Erzurum Gençlikspor Yıldız Erkek Buz Hokeyi takımının şampiyonluğu Erzurum’da coşku yaşattı. Erzurum Gençlik Hizmetleri ve Spor İl Müdürü Fatih Çintimar, buz hokeyinde Erzurum’un büyük bir ivme kazandığını belirterek, yıldızlar kategorisinde şampiyon olan takım ile miniklerde ikinci olan takımı kutladı. Çintimar, “Erzurum buz hokeyinde büyük bir aşama kat etmiştir. Diğer iller bizden çok önce bu işe başlamasına rağmen, biz çok çalışarak ve ilimize yapılan buz salonlarının avantajını iyi kullanarak, kısa sürede önemli bir seviye yakaladık. İnanıyorum ki, alt yapıdan yetiştireceğimiz sporcularla milli takıma hizmet veren hokeycileri Türkiye buz hokeyinin hizmetine sunacağız” dedi. Erzurum Gençlikspor Kulübü Başkanı Memduh Ceyhan da, buz kulüplerarası buz hokeyi şampiyonasında miniklerde ikinci, yıldızlarda da şampiyon olmanın sevincini yaşadıklarını belirterek, tüm sporcuları ve teknik heyeti kutladı.

Gençlikspor, Set To Defend 2011-12 National Championship in Ismit

2012-13 Regional Champs

GENÇLİK SPOR U14 leave Thursday for Ismit to participate in National Championship Tournament. Last year GENÇLİK SPOR U14 won the Gold Medal. The 2011-12 team won the silver medal. In three years at the helm of Gençlikspor Keith McAdams Club has only lost one game. That loss occurred in the National championship final game against BOĞAZİÇİ of Istanbul. The score of that game was 3-2 and considered to be one of the best games in Yildiz history. All but three players are gone from those teams. That being said we still expect to win," Said Keith McAdams Head Coach . "This years the team has won the Group Championship. This is still only the third year of hockey got GSK. We still can not seem to overcome the problems with equipment, ice time and finding games. This year our club is inexperienced, but trained hard. Our goal every year is to win the U14 National Champions of Turkey."
