National Development Program & Black Sea Cup in Erzurum

ERZURUM GENÇLİK SPOR SENIOR CLUB AND U14 TEAM ARE SET FOR BLACK SEA CUP.  The Senior Club will play 5 games in four days.  ERZURUM GENÇLİK SPOR U14 TEAM will be playing for the Turkish Cup starting January 24, 2012. The Turkish Cup teams are made up from the best players in each city in Turkey. Ankara, Erzurum, Istanbul and Koceli will be represented in Turkish Cup. The winning team will be able to claim to have the best hockey in Turkey.

Keith McAdams was named Head Coach of the National Development Program for U14 & U17 for Turkey. There approximately 200 players and 20 coaches participating in the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation camps. "This is the most intense development camp in the history of Turkish hockey" said McAdams "The U14 teams will play 12 mini games during the camp, play two championship games and All Star Game.  Each team will also have 6 practice during the camp."

Ataturk University and the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation have teamed up to do Athletic Assessments testing on all the players in the camp. "We plan to do a follow up program to develop athletic abilities of our players," said McAdams. "Players will be evaluated a couple of times per year and be rewarded certificate of excellence for participating in the program."
