The TBHF National U17 Camp started with a round robin tournament event. Representatives from Ankara, Istanbul, Koceli and Erzurum were to be represented in the show case event. Koceli failed to attend the national event do to a problem with school. GENÇLİK SPOR CLUB, the U15 team stepped up to take Koceli place. GENÇLİK SPOR U15 won all three games in the round robin event to win the tournament.
GENÇLİK SPOR CLUB won 6-3 v. ISTANBUL
GENÇLİK SPOR CLUB won 4-3 v. ANKARA
GENÇLİK SPOR CLUB won 10-1 v. ERZURUM
This was a incredible win for the U15 team," said KEITH MCADAMS", HEAD COACH ERZURUM GENÇLİK SPOR and U17 Camp. The results of this tournament show the great progress Erzurum has made in the past year. Our U12 to U15 players are now the best in Turkey. For ERZURUM GENÇLİK SPOR to be successful in the long term we need to develop a under 9 program. This is something that we need to start now!
The next three days of camp the team will break into All Star teams. The best 30 players and four goalies will play 5 games. The second tier of 30 players will also play 5 games. This format was a great success in the U14 Camp ," said KEITH MCADAMS", All the games but one were decided by one goal and three games were decided in shoot outs.
